Not an advocate of the ouija as for me the jury is still out as to who exactly is pushing the glass/planchette...my take is that its human hands..anyway...

We conducted another session recently and as usual never got the answer to a secret question but we did get some words and what we assume to be a date.... 'new' 'boy' 'warn' and the numbers 1  5  then 10

We are awaiting the arrival of the 1st of may to see if anything significant happens. Grin

Any boys who r new get a warning on that day? Have you done any oujiing since?

The very idea of what a ouji board invites makes me too scared to try it.  I've heard some bad stories.  Not usually good ones.  And I am very nervous to attract the attention of a spirit or thing that wasn't already lingering around. It could be something waiting maliciously.  And I am not confident I can tell the diff.

J-

Myself, i have never used one, but here's what i think:

Anytime you open yourself up to spirit communication, you might come into contact with something/one that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Trust your own judgement and do what only feels right......if you try to use a device or method that makes you feel uncomfortable b4 even using it, the end product will probably be as or even more dissatisfying that what you had intended.

Just my 2 cents .....anyone else like to share their experience with Ouija?

It's funny, but all the people I know personally who have used it either love it or hate it.  Some who have used it and had disturbing spirits come through, and others who only had friendly spirits come through.  I tried it a couple of times when I was a teenager, but the planchette never moved.  I've been told by the people who have used it with happy results that the secret is the mindset you approach it with.  If you are just doing it for a thrill, you'll likely get an unpleasant one.  If you have the intention that only good spirits will come through, that's what happens.

Thanks for the great advice. I can probably never do the board then unless I've got some positive and experienced folks with me.  I wouldn't feel comfortable otherwise.  I feel like I've been targeted too many times by negative energies.  I can usually sense the good ones or oblivious ones, but the negative ones... well, I need to find a way to not let them bother me, I guess.  I just don't want them to stick around after they catch me looking at them.

....while we're on the Ouija topic, like Ghostlady, I always had the impression that any spirits coming through were using human intervention (hands) to move the planchette, unlike other transcommunication tools like an EMF detector, or other device.

I was in a group where others were using a Ouija, and the board was actually placed on the floor in an interior hallway.  They were getting hands free planc movement, but nothing substantial. Could feel a noticeable temerature drop in the room. Someone else in the group saw it moving before anyone sat down at it.

So much for that theory  Huh?

I've heard you're never supposed to use it alone.   A friend of mine in high school did it alone and will never get near one again.  She said that she was sitting at the board asking questions and all of sudden everything in her room started slowly lifting off the ground.  She didn't notice right away until her head hit the ceiling.  She freaked and screamed so her dad ran to her room.  Then everything fell.  The only thing her dad saw was everything falling down and yelled at her assuming she was doing something like trying to tie things on the ceiling, although he was never sure how or why she would do that.

I remember her experience had something to do with closing the window.  Her mother had recently died and so she always left the window open to think of her.  The day this incident happened, she had decided to close the window.

It seems very very much like a fake story, but she seemed genuinely scared and didn't easily talk about it.  You never know I guess.
